Word came down this week that two parks in Marshall County damaged by last year’s tornadoes will be getting money from the state. Governor Robert Bentley has announced that agrant of 50-thousand dollars is going toward the construction of a special needs playground in Guntersville. Plans call for it to be located next to the current playground at Civitan Park. The Lady Civitans will be making a major contribution toward matching funds. The governor also announced just over 68-thousand dollars will be going toward the renovation of Lake Guntersville State Park.
