Water donations are being accepted at  any Center of Hope Thrift Stores (Oxford 1700 Hamric Drive, Saks 1550 Hwy 431, Gadsden 3100 Meighan Blvd). They will be receiving the water to be shipped and anyone donating a case of water will receive 10% discount on any purchase. You can also drop water at Center of Hope Express Oil & Detail at 104 Greenbrier – Dear Rd. in Anniston (behind Kangaroo) and receive the same 10% discount.

  • GED Registration

Where: Anniston, at Gadsden State’s Ayers Campus Career Center.

  • Veterans Upward Bound Program

Military veterans residing in Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, DeKalb, Etowah, Jefferson, Marshall, St. Clair or Talladega County are invited to take advantage of the free services offered through Veterans Upward Bound—a TRiO program funded 100 percent by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.   • Rose Acres Rescue Looking for Foster Families

Where: Rose Acres Rescue in Albertville
Looking for foster families for dogs/puppies and cats/kittens.  Looking for homes for 25 fosters for cats and 25 for dogs, or can do both. The rescue pays for everything the animal needs. The foster provides home and love. For more information: 256-738-8574

  • Marshall County Homeless Ministries Fundraiser

Where: Whole Backstage Theater in Guntersville

  • A Tribute to the Guntersville Boat Races

Where: Guntersville Museum
The exhibit, program and refreshments are free.
LaRue Kohl is MC and guest speakers at 2:00 are Milton and Charley Wiggins, who raced in Guntersville and continue to race throughout the country with their hydroplane boat.  They will be bringing one of their boats to view at the opening. For more information, contact the museum at 256=571=7597.
