Wednesday Severe Weather Awareness Day in AL

The National Weather Service has declared today as Fall Severe Weather Awareness Day. It points out that weather stats show that in Alabama over an 11 year-period, 22% of all tornadoes happened in fall. 6% of tornado-related deaths happen in the fall, and 10% of tornado-inflicted injuries happen in fall. They say like in spring one should keep the weather radio on, update the emergency supply kit, and sign up for severe weather alert apps for your smart phone.
