Etowah County EMS Service Bankrupt

The Gadsden Etowah EMS company which provides emergency medical service to the area is bankrupt and has surrendered its medical transport license to the state. The company filed for Chapter 11 protection to reorganize and owes a lot of money including to the IRS. The Gadsden fire chief says he will push council to revoke the GE-EMS business license and hire another ambulance service, Advantage Emergency Medical, to take over.
