Lauren Ward ~ Asbury

Twelve-year-old Lauren Ward of Asbury, started singing at the tender age of 3. Lauren never gave up her passion and is now happy to announce that she has recently signed to a development deal to the Blue Mercury division of 1015 Entertainment.
Lauren’s amazing ability to sing has taken her to the stage of America’s Got Talent and is now in the process of scheduling a tour for the summer of 2015.
Lauren will head into the studio and begin working on her 1st album on Oct. 29th and plans to have a release party for her fans in November upon completion.

Brooke Danielle Band~ Release Party ~ Gadsden

Hometown favorite, the Brooke Danielle Band, will be celebrating their release party this Sunday, Oct. 26th @ 4 p.m. at The Pitman Theatre in Gadsden.
Refreshment and entertainment during the free event. Everyone is invited to attend.

The Brooke Danielle Band started in February 2012 after the release of her first album.  They have played in huge venues such as Tooties in Nashville, CMA Fest, Florabama, and many music festivals in the Southeast. They are currently The Hottest Teen Country Band in America.Their sound consists of a blend of classic Country and Southern Rock tones mixed with new Country vibes.


Brandon Stephens ~ Boaz

Hometown native, Brandon Stephens, was born and raised in Boaz, AL and went to Snead State Community College on a Music Scholarship. Knowing his love for music early, Brandon began writing at the tender age of 8 and continues to this day.
During 2013, Brandon spent time in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget performing in the Country Superstars Tribute Show.
Currently, he performs every weekend all over north Alabama and is also recording his first professional studio album with all original music.

Early on, the band participated in the West End Talent Show and won. Band practices started soon after. At the time practice were starting, the group was called 2nd Hand Grenades, but trying to translate that, God stepped in, and it was perceived as 2nd Hand Grace.

The band plays secular music and writes the words with Christian Lyrics.

In the past year and a half the band had played many different venues such as churches, birthday parties, bike rallies and 1st Saturdays.

This Sunday, Oct. 26th, 2nd Hand Grace will be performing at Gracefest 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Etowah County Fairgrounds.

BDB Album Release Party

A CD release party will be held at the Pitman Theater in Gadsden October 26th at 4pm. It is a public event with free admission, and a concert with the band performing their latest songs from the album.

The album “The Brooke Danielle Band” was recorded at the Rukkus Room in Nashville. The Rukkus Room has recorded many artists such as Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, and the Voice’s Cassadee Pope.

“This album is the next big thing. We believe we are not too far from succeeding in our dreams. We have worked hard preparing for this, and practicing. A Hootie Christmas

Well, not quite but Darius Rucker will release his 1st Christmas album, Home for The Holidays, on Oct. 27th.

The album will have 12 tracks, with 2 of those originals co-written by Darius. Sheryl Crow will also be a special guest on the album.


Lambert on Idol?

Yes…rumors are right…Adam Lambert will be a guest judge for the “American Idol” auditions in New York. Lambert is filling in for Keith Urban, who is taking time off because of the death of Nicole Kidman’s father.

Funny guy Chris Tucker reportedly owes thee IRS over $14 million dollars, according to TMZ. The website reports that Tucker, was slapped with a new $2.5 million federal tax lien that is in addition to the $12 million he already owes.

Soules, a 32-year-old farmer from Arlington, Iowa, was cut by Bachelorette’s Andi Dorfman right before she chose her final two.

And maybe it was…..could Miley Cyrus really know that 22-year-old Jesse Holt, whom she took to the MtV Video Music Awards Sunday, was wanted by the police?

"Frozen" on TV?

 ABC is planning to air a one-hour special titled, The Story of Frozen: Making a Disney Animated Classic, on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

The one-hour special will feature interviews with Frozen stars Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel as well directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Fans will also be treated to a sneak peek at the next chapter of Frozen as well as preview footage of Frozen characters Anna, Elsa and Kristoff on an upcoming episode of the ABC series, Once Upon A Time.

The Frozen special will also provide a sneak peek at Disney’s next animated film, Big Hero 6.  It opens nationwide Nov. 7.

Disney is the parent company of ABC.

Williams Tribute at Emmy`s

The producers of this year’s Emmy Awards broadcast are planning a tribute to the late Robin Williams, who died of an apparent suicide on Monday.

In a statement obtained by ABC News, Don Mischer, the executive producer of the Emmys broadcast, said, “Plans for the In Memoriam segment are in discussion. While we are all still coming to terms with this week’s tragic news, we are working to give Robin Williams the proper and meaningful remembrance he so well deserves.”

NBC will air the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards live on Monday, Aug. 25.

Anger Management?

It’s official:  Justin Bieber will have to enroll in anger-management courses as a result of a plea deal in his Miami DUI case. Though the singer did not have to appear in court on Wednesday, Justin’s lawyers announced a deal with prosecutors to spare the star any jail time in the case.

CNN reported that Bieber, 20, made a $50,000 donation to the “Our Kids” charity, agreed to get 12 hours of private anger-management counseling and attend a program that teaches about the impact of drunken driving on victims as part of the plea deal.

Although Maroon 5  isn’t  new to the VMAs, the band will make its debut performance at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 24th!
